June Monthly Newsletter
Hi Everyone -
First of all, I just wanted to let everyone what happened to our site (why it wasn’t online this weekend). Our web host had a major electrical meltdown (ok, actually their electrical room exploded). We congratulate them on their rapid response to restore power to their customers and we’re back online and everything is working normally again. Luckily no one was hurt and nothing was lost.
Now, on to the good stuff! In the local news, we’re back at it for another year at the Annapolis Royal Farmer’s and Trader’s market. The weather has been a little sketchy so far, but we’re looking forward to sharing many sunny Saturdays with you this summer. Also, Bubba Ray’s on Spring Garden Road in Halifax is wide open and in full swing. You’ve gotta stop in and check out their selection of hot sauces for sale and rumor has it that, if you’re up for it, their death wings are a life changing experience. There are also rumblings about the return of the Wheel O’ Pain. Keep your ear to the ground for more news on that in the near future.
With summer just around the corner, we decided that it was a good time to bring you some more great deals. We are launching our new Got Heat? campaign. Every week we’re going to have a new featured sauce either at a great discount or even for FREE with an order from the store. To kick things off, since I mentioned the word “free”, we’ll be giving away a bottle of Liquid Stoopid with every order over $25. To get this deal, all you have to are these two things:
1. Add a bottle of Liquid Stoopid to your cart in the online store with your other purchases.
2. When checking out, use the Coupon Code: GotHeat
This offer is valid while supplies last and is available once per customer. We’ve got lots of Liquid Stoopid (just ask my wife) so we shouldn’t run out.
While you’re in the online store, be sure to check out the reviews of Liquid Stoopid and some of our other products as a result of our “Review to Win” contest that just ended. I want to thank all of you that contributed to our reviews and I encourage you to continue to do so. I also want to congratulate our reviewer “John” for being drawn as the winner of the 3 Month Hot Sauce of the Month Club prize. We’ll be shipping out your first month of sauces somewhere in the next week. I absolutely must give an honorable mention to Jeff for his review of the Blair’s Dried Naga Jolokia Peppers. Here it is for your reading enjoyment:
After trying one tiny, harlmess looking snippet of this I can give you these tips if you plan to give the Naga Jolokia a shot:
1) Have a friend nearby to help you up off the floor.
2) Have cotton swabs on hand in case you start bleeding from somewhere.
3) Got Milk? You’ll need it.
4) Paramedics on hand wouldn’t be a bad idea because you won’t be able to focus to dial 911.
5) If you survive and can remember who you are and how to make chili, just put some NJ pepper in that next time instead of trying it straight, ya big dummy.
On that note, we’ll wrap things up for this month. If any of you have got any special events this summer that you’d like to get a great private labeled sauce for, drop us a line. We’ll soon have the capability to produce short run private label products (in quantities as small as one case – 12 bottles!)
Cheers!
Brian
